For the first pertaining to useful science, Ibn Atha Allah has so carefully defined it; that,
A useful science is the science that can help a person to obey and always fear God, abandon the prohibitions of Allah Almighty; the science of ma'rifat to Allah swt. but for the one who still hangs himself on monotheism and does not observe the commandments of the Shari'ah he has been drowned in the sea of zindiq; the truth is when the nature and the Shari'a are enforced together. So it is with a muhaqqiq. He will not grasp the essence with the essence, without carrying out the commandments of zahir-religion in the Shari'a.
Furthermore Imam malik asserted that anyone who is unfaithful without shiqih (Shari'ah) then he has Zindiq. And, every one who has no lawyer, then he has fasiq. And, whoever implements them in tandem, he has entered the gate of Muhaqqiq.
The second, on behalf of Sufism which is identified with the deeds of the elderly in welcoming death. Is not one of the chiefs of the four main guardians, Sidi Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jailani advised us in his book Jala al-Khatir; So, be careful of you and always remember my counsel; "That death will never leave you. Leave everything that is of no use to you, whether it be rhetoric, quoting people's remarks and other occupations.
Flee yourself, and remove your greed. Maybe death will get you faster than you ever thought possible. Death will come to you whenever and wherever you are. You may be visited by death while you are sitting in this assembly. Your legs have brought you here, and you are brought back home as lifeless bodies. "
After recommending Sufism as a life view to be lived (being a Sufi). Next I presenting to the readers of the second question; which is still closely related as a fundamental question of beliefs that have been taken as a Sufi. For, if this second question is not completed answered, it will be futile-the beginning of the journey that will be taken. Because the foundations are so fragile will not be able to sustain the 'journey' is so long and tiring.
It is not my intention to frighten the readers by saying such things. That is the struggle of a person who will break the Sufi as a way of life. As a foundation in navigating the vast ocean of life.
Forgive me that is too long-winded readers, not my intention to slow down your reading. But let us together increase our awareness. My reason is only one, because of all this is one; that, everything should be lived carefully and carefully. As the righteous say; do not rush into things you do not know. You will know it slowly, little by little.
The second question is; why we should make sufism as a view of life and behavior of life. A view so boring with the strict doctrine of 'journey' to God. Is not God so close to us, why should we look for it?
