Second, that sufism is an understanding that emphasizes the importance of paying attention to self-discipline. That is, that all good deeds should we start from ourselves. We do not need to pay attention to the affairs of others except what has been outlined in the Qur'an, such as commands of mutual counseling in goodness and in patience.
The most obvious discipline for a Sufi is that they keep their time with wirid, with the habits of dhikr. Zikr as I have mentioned above, like a medicine that will heal the wound of the heart so that it returns holy.
Thirdly, if we are aware of the six heart diseases we will certainly be looking for a Shaykh who will treat us. It is as if we see the x-ray of disease from our physical body. So that we are not too troubled in understanding this book and taking too much of our time to study it. So, in this book I will tell about Sufism from the four principal leaders; Sidi Ahmad Badawi, Sidi Ahmad Rifai'i, Sidi Abdil Qadir al-Jailani and Sidi Ibrahim al-Qurosyi ad-Dusuqy. Of the four are we to have Nafahat and Madad of the Prince of all the Imams who are the Calms of our hearts; Sidna Muhammad saw.
